Today, State Rep. Bob Young (R-Green) was officially sworn-in for his first term of office as the state representative for the 36th Ohio House District. The district encompasses communities in Summit County including Green, Tallmadge, Cuyahoga Falls, Lakemore, Springfield, Coventry and Mogadore.
“I’m honored to be sworn-in today and respect this job very much, I look forward to helping our Ohioans,” said Young. “I believe I succeeded in representing our people with my time on city council, and I plan to do the same as their new state representative.”
Young has extensive experience in public service through seven years as a senior member of the Green City Council. He also served as the Chairperson of the Community and Economic Development Committee.
As a business owner, Young understands the importance of a healthy economy, and how to grow and retain jobs. He has a variety of different jobs as an entrepreneur, a realtor and auctioneer that has given him a diverse professional background.
Young’s biggest goal is to learn the job and represent the people of the district. He encourages constituents to reach out to his office with any questions, concerns, or ideas at Rep36@ohiohouse.gov.
