Cutrona Supports State Funding to Youngstown State University

COLUMBUS – State Representative Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) today announced that the state controlling board has approved the release of $70,000 to Youngstown State University for the Mahoning Valley Innovation and Commercialization Center.

The Mahoning Valley Innovation and Commercialization Center will be an entrepreneurial hub connecting creative minds with the modern equipment of advanced manufacturing and the knowledge of the regional business community.

“This is such a phenomenal investment in the Valley that will increase opportunities for those who call our area home while also improving the economic environment for our business owners and entrepreneurs,” said Cutrona.   

The Innovation and Commercialization Center will collaborate will local businesses to create both products and jobs that will improve the quality of life throughout the area. 

“This facility will help to create an environment in our region where innovation and creation can thrive and make lasting improvements on the entire Mahoning Valley and beyond,” added Cutrona.
