COLUMBUS – State Representative Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) has passed seven bills off of the Ohio House Floor, which is more than any other member of the Ohio House of Representatives this year.

“Passing seven necessary and essential pieces of legislation is something I am extremely proud to have accomplished. I am honored to be viewed as an effective legislator for Ohio, but this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of so many of my colleagues in the House,” said Cutrona.

The legislation passed by State Representative Al Cutrona during the 134th General Assembly encompassed many different policy areas.

Legislation passed through the Ohio House of Representatives:

  • House Bill 163 – Prohibits Mandatory Nurse Overtime
  • House Bill 169 – Captured $4.2 billion in federal dollars to invest in our state’s schools, healthcare industry, first responders and law enforcement
  • House Bill 191 – Designates a bridge spanning I-680 on SR 164 to be named after the late Don Manning
  • House Bill 193 - Requires all Schedule II prescriptions to be made electronically in efforts to prevent fraud which contributes to the Opioid crisis
  • House Bill 218 - Medical freedom bill that protects workers and students from vaccine mandates and vaccine passports
  • House Bill 243 - Preemptively establishes that no political subdivision can regulate knives more strictly than the state
  • House Bill 292 - Creates a temporary sales tax exemption for electronic vehicle production parts and creates the Electronic Vehicle Commission

Cutrona continued, “I look forward to working on additional bills next year, like HB 459, which prevents sex offenders from working with children, and HB 471, which eliminates sales tax on guns and ammo.”
