Representative Bird Votes in Support of Senate Bill 1
Representative Bird voted in support of Senate Bill 1 – legislation that works to bring a “Students First” agenda to Ohio public universities.
Senate Bill 1 works to reform higher education by aligning with Ohio’s workforce needs, eliminating DEI programs, trainings, and orientations, and promoting institutional stability, accountability, and transparency.
“I will always support intellectual diversity on college campuses,” said Representative Bird. “We should protect our students from forced endorsement of a given ideology.”
Ohio House Concurs on Transportation Budget
Bill prioritizes efforts that preserve Ohio’s infrastructure, promote economic development & boost public safety
The Ohio House of Representatives recently concurred on Senate amendments to Sub. House Bill 54 – Ohio’s Transportation Budget. The bill allocates funding for Ohio’s extensive transportation system, prioritizing efforts to keep Ohio moving forward.
"I voted in support of sub. H.B. 54 to enhance road safety for Ohioans and ensure proper maintenance of our highways and roads statewide," said Representative Bird.
Sub. House Bill 54 now goes to the Governor for his signature.
