COLUMBUS— State Representative Jim Hoops (R-Napoleon) voted yesterday in support of House Concurrent Resolution 20 - legislation honoring the distinguished service of the men and women of the United Sates Navy and the 250th anniversary of its founding. The resolution, as passed by the Ohio House, recognizes the establishment of the United States Navy on October 13, 1775, its contribution to national defense, and Ohio’s deep naval history.

The Ohio House Ways and Means Committee today adopted Substitute House Bill 186 – a bold initiative championed by members of the House Majority Caucus aimed at tackling rising property taxes that, once enacted, will save Ohio homeowners nearly $1.7 billion over the next three years.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House Pro-Life Caucus, a coalition of legislators committed to advancing a culture of life in Ohio, held its inaugural meeting of the 136th General Assembly. State Representative Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) was officially named Chair of the caucus, which comprises 31 state representatives dedicated to creating policy that protects life, empowers women, and strengthens families across the state.
