Members of the Ohio House and Senate announced today that they are introducing a pair of identical resolutions in each chamber to strengthen Ohio’s election process and enshrine voter ID laws into the state’s constitution, including the requirement to present photo identification. The resolutions are being championed by State Representatives Adam Bird (R-New Richmond) and Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) in the Ohio House and State Senators Jane Timken (R-Jackson Township) and Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) in the Ohio Senate.

State Representative Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) today announced she has been tasked to serve on the newly formed Joint Data Center Committee, a bipartisan legislative panel created to examine the economic, environmental, energy, and security impacts of data center development across Ohio. The committee will engage with stakeholders, industry experts, and Ohio communities to better understand how the rapid expansion of data centers is affecting regions throughout the state.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Heidi Workman (R-Rootstown) is pleased to announce that Portage County was recently awarded $230,000 through the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program to tear down unsafe, blighted buildings and prepare those sites for new opportunities. To date, approximately $99,000 of these funds have been utilized, with additional projects expected to move forward.
